Welcome to the return of Motivation Monday on my blog. Life is a never-ending process of learning. I was just doing an interview the other day. When asked about parenting and motherhood, I responded “Moms are attending Motherhood University from nearly the day they conceive. It is a never-ending learning and development process.” One of the things I love about motherhood most is seeing the world once again through a child’s perspective and considering the new things I can learn through my children.
When I first began my weight loss journey, it was slow and steady. Soon, I realized that I really enjoyed learning more about the exercise and nutrition that was helping me succeed. I just could not get enough of exercise and nutrition related articles, books, blogs, etc. As a personal trainer, I thoroughly enjoy learning more every week. Every person requires a different approach to fitness and motivation.
What is your passion? What makes you happy? Take some time to learn more about those areas in your life. Heck, even if there are things that drive you nuts, it can be really helpful to learn more about those things as well. Knowledge is power and will help you deal with the things that cause you challenges and help bring more of the things that make you happy into your life.
What would you like to learn more about? How will you do it?

Yes, moms are definitely attending school daily. I am surprised by my daughter everyday.

I love learning from my kids. It is amazing to see the world again through their eyes.
I too am a life long leaner (I dragged out university for 12 years…). I would love to learn more about nutrition; to be better able to help my clients and readers. I’ve been considering going back to school (part time? online? how to fit it all in?) to get yet another degree and expand on the work I do as a personal trainer.
P.S. My kids teach me new things everyday; mostly things about myself (and often things that I would rather not have known
)
I agree that our kids are great teachers. I have been considering another degree or certificate too.
I need to go back to basics, because my pants are not making me feel good about myself
Good for you Lena. you can do it!
Me too Lena!!
My approach is similar: there is never a point where you learned everything. Thinking “I know enough” is folly.
I am on a mission to keep my weight off! I learned that we could all have bad days, but you need to jump back on the exercise horse if it happens!
So true. I had a setback for about 10 days due to an illness. Gotta get back on that horse for sure.
what a great post!! there’s always tons of things i could learn more about!!

I really enjoy learning about nutrition and how it relates to our overall health. I’ve been using my blog as a means of learning. When I first started blogging three years ago I never dreamed that it would change me to this extent.
I agree. One of the things I love most about blogging is learning new things to write about.
I love learning and don’t think I’ll ever grow tired of discovering new things. I’m learning about Alzheimer to help a friend as she progresses into the disease and am learning things to help her.
That is wonderful Grace. I am so glad to have “met” you though the Still Blonde group. I love so many of the things you blog about.
Thought provoking and challenging post.
Thank you!
I love the idea of Motivation Monday, I could use some serious motivation in my life! I would love to learn more about promoting my blog and using it the right way… I will just keep looking around the internet for tips and tricks from the pros!
It’s so true! I learn so much from my son everyday!!
