Let’s face it, decorating your home can be an expensive task. Well, it doesn’t have to be. We are finishing our basement so I have been looking for decorating ideas around the internet. Here are some inspiring decorating DIYs for your home’s decor that won’t break the bank.
DIY Orb Chandelier
Orb chandeliers can be super expensive. The gals at Tatertots and Jello created this project for only $165. Similar chandeliers retail for over $600. You go girls!
Personlized Watercolor Art
I love this idea. It’s a chance to create and have fun without worrying about the rule of design to make an amazing personalized piece of art. Check out The Handmade Home for all the details.
DIY Headboard
Cuckoo For Design created this DIY headboard. It makes dramatic statement for any bedroom. My daughter is begging me to make one.
Wood Pallet Clock
This is such a simple project and has a huge impact on the space it’s in. Check out Liz Marie Blog for all the details.
3D Mirror Gallery Wall
No expensive hardware to by with this tutorial. Create a 3-D Gallery Wall using framed photos, framed mirrors, or even empty frames. I love how the mirrors add extra light reflection to any room.

Oh I love all of these! But I think my favorite is the clock
I love the headboard idea- I have been wanting to get into reupholstering things but haven’t found a tutorial I feel confident enough in yet. I’ll have to check this out!
I went with lots of bold color in the yurt. It’s full of light due to the almost floor to ceiling windows so it could handle the color. I’m also a bit nuts. I don’t have a lot of wall space so I really didn’t have to worry about covering them.
That clock doesn’t tell time, right?
Such beautiful ideas to inspire one to diy! I love the orb chandelier and the Y’all painting! Super cute.
Those are all pretty cool. I think the clock is my favorite but I love them all, actually :).
