2015 Fashion Trends – Accessorize Yourself This Year

2015 Fashion Trends - How to Accessorize Yourself This Year

Women love accessories. Whether we’re talking about necklaces, rings, earrings, or bracelets, the right accessories will transform a trivial dress into a showstopper. In fact, when selecting accessories women should pay close attention to detail. It’s important to learn how to balance an outfit with the right shoes and jewelry pieces. Always remember the golden rule of high fashion – less is more.

Braided Necklace

Statement pieces are still in trend

Statement accessories have penetrated the fashion industry almost 5 years ago. It’s a trend that just doesn’t want to fade away. Like the little black dress, every woman should have a few statement pieces in her collection. It can either be a necklace, a bracelet or a ring.

Braided necklaces for example, are in high demand right now. They’re available in many different styles and colors, and they usually feature additional materials like steel, leather straps and more. As for statement pieces for a party, opt for items that are shiny but classy. It’s really important to invest in quality metals, and even if you can’t afford gold or platinum, you can always go for silver or stainless steel.

Single earring trend

Single earrings are another popular trend. They are a featured element when women wear their hair on one side. Adorned with a super striking earring, you’ll certainly make an impression. Go for something bulky, colorful and dazzling if your face is long; and if it’s too round, then you should select an earring that stretches all the way to your collarbone. Embellish your earlobes with a statement piece, and let your personal style shine through.

2015 Fashion Trends

Hippie Inspiration

The 70s trend is back. Accessories are now more colorful than ever, and they’re mostly crafted from unconventional materials. The new retro and boho-chic tendencies in terms of accessories have persuaded women to be bold and daring. The necklaces are chunky and streamlined, and the bracelets are mostly worn in sets – the more the merrier. Add innovation to your hippie accessories by complimenting them with cool outfits. A really tight red dress on a super skinny body can look trashy; however, if you opt for flats instead of heels, a super cool summer hat, and a multi-colored leather necklace, you’ll instantly make it interesting, hippie, classy.

statement rings

Royal rings

Worn by men in the 18th century, royal rings were symbols of power in society. They were bulky and heavy items that featured an imposing crest; on that crest the wearer had to decide whether or not to include an engraving. The engraving could have been a message, a number, the shape of a fierce animal, and more. In 2015, these royal rings are heavily worn by women, too. They’re still bulky in appearance, but they’re not that heavy anymore. Also, the engravings are replaced by precious stones.

As for the style, there are many types of signet rings you can choose from. You can either go for the basic round shape, or have yours custom-made. Many women have their accessories personalized, just to feel that what they have is truly one of a kind. In this case, you can even choose what engraving you’d like to have on the crest or on the band.

What trend will you try?

This year, the newest accessories are bold and beautiful. Statement pieces are innovative ways of converting a simple blouse or dress, into a striking outfit. Use your imagination, don’t be afraid to combine colors and stand out. The right accessories will make a great impression!

I don’t know. I don’t wear a lot of jewelry to be honest but when I do I like a nice, bold necklace. I don’t think I could pull off the single earring look.
