9 Printable Positive Affirmations for Women

A new decade is just around the corner. It’s a good idea to begin to set your intentions for what you want in 2020 and beyond. Too often, we can be surrounded by negativity. As strong women and moms, we can’t let it bring us down. I created a collection of nine of my favorite positive affirmations for women in printable coloring pages. I selected just one word so that you can use them alone or to create your own affirmations.

9 Positive Affirmations for Women

For each page, I selected only one word. You can focus on this word along or use it to create your own affirmation using it. For example, the word Love can stand alone or you might create an affirmation like, “I love myself today.” I’ll get started with a little background on what each word means and how I define them in my life. Hopefully this will give you some ideas about how you can use them as well.

Joy

The dictionary definition of joy is: the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires. For me, Joy represents the people in my life that bring me joy. The word joy always evokes found memories of my children and how much joy they bring me. I seeing the world through their eyes.

Joy can also be found by doing things that brings it into your life. For example, I experience great joy when I hike to the top of a mountain with amazing views. My joy affirmation is often, “I am deserving of joy and abundance.”

Fierce

Fierce is a word that can have negative connotations of aggression or hostility. My example of Fierce is under the “informal” meaning category in the dictionary. It says, ” having or expressing a bold confidene or style.” I struggle with self confidence so this is an affirmation I use a lot. I often say, “I am a fiere woman and mother deserving of success.”

Believe

The dictionary says, “to have a firm conviction as to the goodness, efficacy, or ability of something.” In my case, it is all around believing in myself. Your inner self critic can be difficult to quiet. Take time to color this page really focusing on believing in yourself. Look in the mirror and say “I believe in myself” each day.

Love

Love is probably one of the most personal words in the English language. I think we all have very different definitions of what love means to us. In this case, I’d like you to focus on self-love. I believe that loving yourself is really the first step toward achieving anything in life. Self doubt is the enemy of self-love. Remind yourself how amazing you are and how you deserve to love yourself and be loved by others.

Creative

The basic definition of the word creative is marked by the ability or power to create. Focus on this word and let your mind take time to wander. It can be a very powerful word. Use it to let your mind come up with creative solutions to problems. Use it to spark creativity and take on a new project… perhaps a drawing or new recipe. An affirmation might be somethign like, “I succeed when I am most creative.”

Dream

There are quite a few defintions of the word dream. The two I like best are, “a strongly desired goal or purpose.” “Something that fully satisfies a wish.” Where would we be without dreams? What we dream helps inspire our achievements in life. We all know the saying, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” You might take time to reflect on a specific dream or keep it abstract. Perhaps an affirmation like: “Only I can make my dreams come true.”

Growth

Growth is of course the process of growing. In this case, think of it as the progressive development of oneself. Without growth, we remain stagnant. We can only evolve as strong women by growing our knowledge and spirit. How you want to grow is up to you. Sometimes my growth affirmation has a specific focus. I might say, “I will grow today by speaking with my mentor.” But it can be more abstract like “Today, I will grow.”

Imagine

The dictionary says to imagine “is to form a mental image of something not present to the senses or never before wholly perceived in reality.” What I love about this word is that you can imagine absolutely anything. Perhaps you might conjur up a mythical creature to be your spirit guide. I’m a pagasus fan myself. You can use this word to imagine yourself 5 years from now. Where are you? What are you doing? Picture the you that you want to be.

What I love about this word is that you can imagine absolutely anything. #coloringpages #adultcoloring #printables #affirmations

Strong

In this case I think of strength in mental and spiritual power. I also remind myself that being vulnerable is actually a sign of strength. It’s my favorite positive affirmation when I am experiencing self doubt. I remind myself that I am a strong independent woman and amazing mother. This is another great daily mantra. Look in the mirror and tell yourself. “I am strong.”
