Welcome to my Best Body Bootcamp recap of week #2. Time is flying as I am more than half way into Week #3. I am really enjoying this program, especially the great support group on Facebook. There is such a wonderful group of women who are so supportive of one another. I also like that the program is flexible in that you can get in 5 workouts a week for credit regardless of which days you do them. In addition, you can add in some of your own workouts or select something less strenuous like yoga or walking if you are having a tough day or not feeling well. There is definitely lost of colds and flu going around. I hope I don’t get either.
I was a bit disappointed the other day because my weight did not go down, but I’m trying not to worry about it too much. I was able to notch my belt in one extra hole today so that is more important to me than the number on the scale. I tend to use how my clothes fit and my measurements as a better gauge of my progress. The only problem is that I also entered into a bet on DietBet.com and I need to lose 3 more pounds to hit my mark and hopefully make a little cash. It’s not the end of the world if I don’t get there, but it would be nice.
At the end of the day, it’s really about how I feel. I am feeling much stronger and have much more stamina for longer runs and boot camp workouts. After gaining weight last year, I’m finally seeing some ab and arm muscles again. I missed them. I never want to be too “ripped” but I like to see some muscle definition.
For my week 1 recap, I focused on the most challenging move. For week 2, I’m going to highlight one of my favorite move. I like any move that works more than one muscle group at a time. The ball squat with front raise is a great example.
I decided to keep my goals making sure to get at least 8-10 glasses of water a day and stick within the calorie limits of my MyFitnessPal diet recommendations. For this week I am aiming to explore at least one of the BBB participant blogs each day and stick with my calorie goal for #2.
How are your weekly workouts going? Looking for a challenge? Keep an eye on Tina’s site for the next Best Body Bootcamp challenge or consider signing up for the Run to the Finish Spring event (it’s not posted yet, but should be there soon). I’m sure you can find others too. If so, let me know and I’ll go check it out.
All the best in health and fitness
