Thanks to A Girls Guide to Cars and Honda for Sponsoring this Post. All Opinions are 100% my own.
Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Boston Auto Show to learn about what’s new for 2018 from all the big car brands. I joined a group of Boston area influencers along with Honda and A Girls Guide to Cars for a tour of the show.
I Fell in Love with the Honda Clarity
Since Honda was our sponsor, we started out learning about their new offerings for the year. After learning about the Honda Clarity, I really didn’t feel the need to look at many other cars. My husband and I have been considering a hybrid vehicle to help save money on gas and be more environmentally friendly.
As parents, we also want to show our kids that we are doing our part to help with the environment in different ways. We recycle, and use eco-friendly cleaning products so why not an eco-friendly car too?
My favorite features:
- With the 47-mile all-electric range rating I can drive my daughter to school and run my errands for the day gas-free. Yippee!
- When my family takes longer trips, the 340-mile combined gas-electric range rating will get us there in an economical way.
- Clarity owners are eligible for up to a $7,500 tax credit through federal rebate programs.
- Excellent safety features like lane assist and a collision mitigation breaking system.
It’s Pretty Too!
One of the things that has held us back from actually purchasing a hybrid sedan is that most of them are just ugly in our opinion. When I got to see the Honda Clarity in person, I fell in love. I can’t decide if I like the dark green or the wine red better. Hmm, can I have both?
The 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid received the 2018 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award and the 2018 For full review of the Honda Clarity, check out this post over on A Girl’s Guide to Cars. These gals got to drive the car in the California Wine Country. I am so jealous.
Here is a great video from one of our influencers, Jeff Cutler showing off what’s great about the Honda Clarity from a product specialist.
In addition to the Honda Clarity, they continue to have top car models like the family-friendly Odyssey and top rated Honda Accord. The Accord is returning with a hybrid model as well. Go Honda!
A Little Luxury
Whenever I visit the car show, my next stop is typically the luxury models that I’ll never afford unless I win the lottery. Hey, it’s good to dream right? I decided that my favorite was this Porsche Spider. With a price tag of just under one million (yes MILLION) dollars, I’d love to have this one in my garage. Do you have a favorite luxury model car?
Great Place to Car Shop
What else I like best about car shows is the opportunity to see all the major car brands and being able to chat with product specialists without the pressure of a sales pitch. Some brands even offer test drives. Having a chance to sit in cars, test leg room, check out special features is both fun and informative. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend finding a car show near you. It’s a fun activity for the entire family.
