Can’t Wait for Spring with Monroe and Main Fashions

This is a Fashionista Event Opportunity, and is hosted by
Still Blonde after all these YEARS and Modly Chic.MonroeMainSpringHeader

Those of us still bundled up in New England feel like spring will never arrive. I have about 5 feet of snow outside my house and another foot is expected next week. With the help of Monroe and Main Spring Fashions, I can dream about warmer weather and the fun items I’ll get to wear when the snow melts.

Luckily, Monroe and Main offers great transitional pieces that I can layer until spring arrives. Bold patters are very on trend. I chose the Green Scene Tunic to be the top of my spring outfit. The vivid design really catches the eye in a whirlwind of patterns. I love the way it is semi-fitted on the top and floats away from the waist down into what they call a “sharkbite hemline.” Any concerns I might have about a tummy pooch or love handles are completely, and stylishly hidden with this lovely top.

For my bottoms, I chose the Stretch Cropped Pant. It has 2-way stretch fabric and a back zipper to eliminate bulk for smoother layering. They are a terrific weight to transition from winter to spring. I can wear them with boots in the colder months, and flats, wedges or sandals later in the year. They are so comfortable and slimming.

As an accessory, I chose the super cute Multi-Pocket Side Bag. It has enough room for my wallet, phone and a few extras. It has a magnetic snap closure, 1 zip pocket and 6 interior slots for bank cards. I love the bright color for spring and summer! I love that this outfit is so versatile as I transition from winter to spring. It can be dressed up or dressed down too.

  3. jmahurin40 says:

I learned The term empire waist refers to a style of dress or top that cinches at the narrow point under the bust line (right where your bra band lays). The style emphasizes one of the narrowest points on any woman’s body, and is great for shorter women because the raised waistline can create the appearance of added height. It’s also a highly recommended style for women with wider lower bodies since it draws the eye to the narrow upper body and can make the bust appear more curvy.
