- ¼ cup of chocolate chips
- 2 medium bananas– sliced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 3 tbsps of sugar
- ½ tsp of vanilla

Preparation Instructions:
Preparing the pie crust:
Cut the butter into cubes and refrigerate it for 15 minutes. In a food processor, place the salt and flour and pulse until combined. Add the butter in the food processor. Pulse until the mixture contains shaggy and coarse crumbs. Sprinkle some ice water on the mixture. Process this for 20-30 seconds. Place the dough on a clean surface. Mold this into a disk and wrap it with plastic and put in a refrigerator for an hour.

Preparing the filling:
Add the cocoa powder and sugar. Roll the dough out and press it into a 9 inch pie pan. While you are preheating the oven, place both the pan and crust in the ref.
The next step is to line the crust with the use of a foil or parchment paper. Fill it with pie weights or dried beans. Bake this for 20 minutes at 350 degrees Celsius. Once baked, remove the pan from oven and very gently, remove the lining and weights. Return to the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes more. Set aside until it cools down.
Place salt, sugar and flour in a medium saucepan and mix. Add in a cup of milk and stir until it is smooth. Over medium heat, bring this to a boil while you stir constantly. Do this until the mixture is thick and smooth. This will take just about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Beat the egg yolk with the remainder of the milk. Add a chilled milk to the egg mixture then pur this into the saucepan. Bring back the saucepan to the heat once again. Allow it to boil while you stir constantly. Lower down the heat and allow the mixture to simmer until it resembles the consistency of a thick pudding.
Remove it from the stove and add butter as well as vanilla extract. Pour half of the mixture in a small bowl then set it aside. To the remaining mixture, pour in chocolate chips. Stir until the mixture is smooth and the chips have melted. Allow mixtures to cool.
Pour the plain filling on the pie shell. Create a single layer of banana slices on top of the filling. Pour in the chocolate filling on top. Refrigerate.
Prepare the whip cream by adding in vanilla and sugar. Beat the cream. Spread the cream on the filling, Top with chocolate curls and a few banana slices. Refrigerate. Serve it cold.
