Many thanks to Depened for sponsoring today’s story and encouraging people to #dropyourpants for #underwareness.
Did you know that millions of people both young and old suffer from bladder leakage?
In fact, this number is 65 million? You may also think this issue is for “old people,” but you’d be wrong. More people in their twenties suffer from bladder leakage than people in their 80’s. Whether bladder leakage has happened to you or not, it’s an issue that needs to raise awareness. Or as the folks at Depend say: “underwareness.”
My mother suffered from MS and bladder leakage was a major symptom for her. It was embarrassing for her to not know if she would make it to the restroom on time. In the early years, there were no products like Depends. She had to rely on bulky diapers that were uncomfortable and not so discreet. She was so excited when Depends came on the market. She felt like she had an option that was truly for her.
Depends provides a variety of discreet products that help people regain their freedom and get their lives back, including:
- Depend Real Fit for Men and Silhouette for Women briefs: Look, fit and feel like real underwear and feature a cloth-like fabric for a sleek, ultra-smooth fit.
- Depend Underwear with Fit-Flex protection: Features more Lycra stands for a smooth and comfortable close-to-the-body fit.
I am thrilled to help promote the #DropYourPants movement to help raise awareness for bladder leakage issues. Thousands of people are joining the movement by sharing their support for “underwareness.” Depends has made a 3 million dollar pledge to help educated and raise awareness about bladder leakage. Here is one of my favorite Instagram photos showing support.

I’ve already dropped my pants in the name of the cause. I think it’s great that Depend is spreading awareness about this issue!
I couldn’t believe how thin these are! I actually discussed this problem with my doctor and he said that most people suffer with this.
I think its great that they have these for people who need them. It makes them more comfortable and more confident.
I won’t drop my pants but I do appreciate the efforts to bring Underwareness.
Hey, I may need this some day, so I shall not judge.
Very interesting campaign. Thank you for sharing!
I’m 26 and I’ve been there. It’s sure not fun!
Love how this movement is going! It’s such an important thing to bring up!
I love that all it takes is a simple share and you can raise $1 for Underwareness. I think I will do that!
I think most moms who have given birth vaginally have had some kind of leakage problem. I tinkle when I sneeze too hard, and another mom friend of mine can’t even go jogging anymore!
This is such an important topic. The Happy Goats all put underwear on to support this campaign. They wanted to help spread the word.
I can so relate – especially with the pregnancy, it has been tough. And guess what, sneezing and coughing doesn’t help
I’m in my twenties and have had to rely on Depends for LBL after a medical incident- having the piece of mind that I was discreetly being protected was invaluable. I think it’s great this campaign is raising such awareness!
