Eats and Treats to Show Your Football Team Spirit

Sunday nights are great nights to get the family together. The weekend can often get super busy with kid’s sports activities and household chores. The kids spend Friday and Saturday nights with their friends and my husband and I try to fit in a date night. Sunday is our night to gather as a family for some bonding over some food and FOOTBALL!

You don’t need to be a super-fan to make this Sunday night family gathering work.  For example, my daughter is not always interested in the game, but she still likes joining in for the family fun. We make bets on who will win and throw a soft football around the room too. First person who drops it has to clean up after the game.

Find all of these great recipes on the Stop & Shop website

Football Meatloaf

Perhaps not a new idea, but one that is certainly delicious. Any leftovers make for great next-day lunch too! YUM!

Tuna Salad Football Sandwiches

These adorable pumpernickel football sandwiches are held together with delicious bacon and tomato flavored cream cheese.

Turkey Chili

I love making colorful chili this time of year. This recipe is perfect for a football party. With turkey, black beans, corn and cilantro, it has a Southwestern touch.

Buffalo Wings

I did not know buffalo wings were so easy until I tried this recipe. The marinade is a yummy mixture of cayenne pepper, paprika, hot sauce, and butter. You won’t be able to keep these around.

Now that you have 4 great ideas for the savory food for your football celebration, it’s time for dessert!

Officially Licensed NFL Cakes and Cupcakes

How about cakes and cupcakes with your team’s logo? My son was super excited to see these. I picked up a football themed backdrop at a local party supply store and we were good to go! You totally need to drop by Stop & Shop and order yours today!
