Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer Review and Giveaway

Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer Review and Giveaway

FTC Disclosure

I kind of hate to cook. I don’t know why. I think it’s that I doubt my skills since I don’t cook very often. I make a killer omelette and french toast, but otherwise, my husband usually cooks and I’m in charge of cleaning, laundry, carpools, you know, basically everything else. I was a bit reluctant to accept the gift of a free Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer for fear of not being able to do it justice in a review. But then I remembered one of the life mottos I try to live by, “Feel the fear, and go for it anyway!” So, I went for it and decided to accept the Mixer and I’m so glad that I did.

Did you know that cooking, especially baking can really bring the family together? Ok, maybe you knew that, but I did not realize how much fun I would have. I decided not to tackle anything super complicated so my daughter and I decided to make cupcakes inspired by spring. I used a cake mix, which I mixed with the Hamilton Beach Hand Mixer (Review and Giveaway Here). For the icing though, I went with homemade buttercream icing. I had no idea how easy it was to make and the Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer made it even easier for me to look like a pro, or at least someone who sort of knows what she’s doing.

With my husband being more of the cook in the family, I had him take a look at the mixer first. He was very impressed with it’s quality and the fact that the size is not too big or too small. He also complimented the ease of tilting the mixer open to easily insert and remove the mixing tools and bowl. As a novice cook, I really appreciated the diagram which recommends which mixing tool to use for different kinds of recipes.

My daughter really enjoyed helping to make the cupcakes and her friend came over to work on icing and decorating. It was a great rainy day activity. After icing the cupcakes, I got creative with some fondant to make flower decorations for spring. Not bad, huh?
