Health Basics with Insync Natural Probiotic
One of my major goals for 2014 is to work on getting back to basics for the health my family. We are focusing on these top three basics:
- drinking more water
- eating right – including promoting digestive balance
- staying active
This healthy focus is especially important during the winter months when we are stuck inside more often, leaving us more susceptible to the germs floating around the house, the kids’ school, the mall, etc. Here’s a bit more detail about how we are doing so far:
Drinking More Water
Aside from my morning cup of tea, I am focusing on drinking more water and offering water to my kids much more often. This reduces the calories we drink and helps us stay hydrated throughout the dry winter months. Plain water can be a bit boring, so we like to jazz it up a bit with fresh fruit like lemon and strawberries. Sometimes I’ll add just a splash of grape juice or lemonade too. We are all trying to get in at least 8 glasses a day. I often have a large tumbler at my desk to remind me to drink more water.
Eating Right
Getting back to basics with our eating includes a focus on healthy proteins and vegetables and minimizing unhealthy carbs. I have a friend who runs her own natural cooking classes so I’m attending to learn more great recipes like the delicious bean soup above.
For my husband and I, we’ve also added Insync Probiotic to help keep our digestive system on track. A healthy gut is important for overall health. According to Harvard Medical School’s Family Health Guide, “A growing body of scientific evidence suggests that you can treat and even prevent some illnesses with foods and supplements containing certain kinds of live bacteria.” Keeping away illness during cold and flu season is a big plus for sure!
I found Insync Probiotic at my local CVS to get started. Every caplet of doctor recommended Insync Probiotic delivers six strains of natural, beneficial probiotics to help support digestive system balance. So far, I’m feeling great. I think I have added energy, and luckily, my family has not caught any of the recent cold and flu bugs going around.
Staying Active
We often go for family walks with our new puppy. Playing in the snow and skating on our outdoor ice rink are more ways we keep active while having fun. Indoors, we play online sports and dance games where we have to keep moving even though we are playing a video game. Having pillow fights and playing balloon volleyball are two more indoor favorites.

We’ve tried a number of different probiotics in the past with good results. Hopefully as they become more prevalent they’ll come down in price.
I need to get my husband and I to try these. We could use a bit of a health boost during the winter months.

I try to get my probiotics from yogurt sources, but they can be high in sugars or taste disgusting, so Insync has been on my list to check out. Sounds like it’s worth a try!
