Healthy snacking is not always at the top of my mind when I am running the kids to camp, tutoring, sports, etc. With the warm weather, we are all very tempted to hit the ice cream shop way too often! The folks at JOLLY TIME Pop Corn started the Healthy Pop Challenge to encourage folks like me to make healthier choices when they snack.
Some of the best things about JOLLY TIME Healthy Pop is that it’s fiber filled, low-calorie and tastes great! Popcorn is a natural, whole grain food that is also low in fat. It has the right amount of whole grains and fiber to aid in a healthier lifestyle.
In addition to a selection of their popcorn, the folks at JOLLY TIME Pop Corn included an resistance band to inspire me to get physical while I pop. You can get one too on the Healthy Pop Challenge web page. I love the idea of fitting in exercise even if you can’t devote a 30-60 minute block of your time all at once. I have the resistance band in my living room so I can do exercises while watching TV. Remember that all minutes of physical activity count toward your daily fitness goals, so why not make the most of the minutes you are popping a healthy snack too?
JOLLY TIME Pop Corn also has some great ideas for healthier mix-ins on their website. I was inspired to create a recipe of my own. I used the 100 calorie Health Pop Butter single serving bag. I simply mixed in some dried cranberries and sliced almonds. This easily divides into 2 healthy snack servings that are less than 200 calories each. The cranberries add a bit of sweetness and the almonds add extra protein and healthy monounsaturated fat. It’s so delicious! Next time, I’m going to make the Trail Mix Popcorn or maybe the Basil Garlic Popcorn. Yum!
My kids love making popcorn for our family movie nights. I even purchased these cute popcorn serving boxes to give our movie nights more of a theater experience. Watching movies at home definitely keeps the movie snacks healthier. We used JOLLY TIME Healthy Pop Kettle Corn and mixed in just a bit of candy covered chocolates and gummy bears. This is so much better than a full box of candy my kids will often eat at the theater.
Are you ready to embrace a healthier you by making healthier snacking choices? Take the JOLLY TIME Healthy Pop Challenge.

I am so hooked on your ready to eat sea salt bags. It keeps me away from the wrong list of foods!! On a diet or not it is my go to choice!!
My hubby and daughter love to snack in between meals! So to try to make this a healthy habit, I chose popcorn, it fills them up, easy to make and we are all happy!
This does look like an easy to make power house of a snack. I wouldlove to make it for an after the gym snack.
I love popcorn, but I’m honestly not a snack person. The moment I started filling my meals with a lot of protein every day, I eliminated the need for snacking. Not that I won’t reach for a bag of Jolly Time if it’s available in the house though. I’m not the type of person who’d deprive myself of a good munch. 😀
Pop corn is such a good snack. I like how you put raisins on there too, I never would have though of that.
I love to snack on popcorn. It is a delicious and healthy option. I will have to look for this brand on my next shopping trip.
I love healthy snacks! I will have to add to my menu planning! As a Beachbody coach, I am always looking for better snacking, to help keep my diet on track, but well-rounded.
Jolly Time Kettle Corn is my daughter’s favorite. She always adds a box to the grocery list.
I love popcorn, but haven’t had it in a while! Love that your recipe is healthy and delicious!
This looks like a really healthy snack! I love the addition of the cranberries in it- it’s a great touch of sweetness.
Popcorn is a great snack idea. I never thought of adding dried fruit and nuts to it though. What a fantastic idea.
I just am not a popcorn person- but I recently switched to white cheddar light popped corn as an alternative to snacking on chips and I’m slowly coming around. I find it can be just a satisfying as other snack options.
We are a huge popcorn family. I love grabbing some as a mid-afternoon snack and the kids love some as their after-dinner snack. It is just an all around yummy snack
I love that Jolly Time popcorn has healthy options! I know one of our favorites is family movie night so having a healthier treat like this for the family to share is important.
I love Jolly Time popcorn. They definitely do have some healthier options too. I think having a great snack like this during movie time is always nice. It’s nice to have popcorn without all that butter too.
Popcorn is such a delicious end of the night snack. The best part is there are so many healthy things you can put in it too!
Unhealthy snacking is my biggest downfall! I will have to look into Healthy Pop! Sounds like such a great and healthy alternative.
