Hiking in New Hampshire with the Comfort of Icebreaker

Hiking in New Hampshire with Icebreaker

FTC Disclosure

Hiking in New Hampshire is one of my favorite places to be. The fresh air and the views are truly amazing. The folks at Icebreaker contacted me to see if I would like to try some of their clothing. They specialize in sustainable marino wool from New Zealand. While I love marino wool, I was a bit skeptical about wearing it for workouts or summer hikes.

I decided to try a hat, t-shirt, skirt and socks. I actually asked for a pair of shorts, but they were out of stock. I have never hiked in a skirt, but I really loved it. I may do it more often. The clothes from Icebreaker were very comfortable, light weight and breathable. It was a hot day and I did not feel hot at all. My daughter said she wanted a hiking skirt too. My feet get hot and blister easily. The Icebreaker socks kept my feet cooler and comfortable. No blisters! Yippee!

Other than my testimonial, there are some other great things to know about Icebreaker marino wool.

 Easy Care

Resilient Icebreaker merino is machine washable, dries quickly (on the line or on the back of a chair – not in a tumble dryer ) and bounces back into shape without ironing, which makes it ideal for travel

Synthetic fibres feel clammy because moisture vapour can escape only through holes in the fabric. But with Icebreaker merino, the fibre as well as the fabric breathes to prevent you overheating

Environmentally Friendly

Icebreaker has a deep commitment to animal welfare, the welfare of the people who work with us, and the environment. There is even a link to trace your Icebreaker clothing back to the farming station where the it originated.

Hiking in New Hampshire with Icebreaker

Don’t I look like a happy marino sheep in the mountains on New Zealand? I can say that I was very happy and comfortable. Frankly, this is the most comfortable I have been on a hike in a long time. We hiked the day before and I was sweaty and clammy. The Icebreaker clothing made a huge difference.

Icebreaker apparel includes underwear, mid layer garments, outerwear, socks and accessories for men, women and kids. You can buy Icebreaker online and in more than 3000 stores in 43 countries. Your clothes look comfortable and stylish for hiking clothes. This summer we hiked Hahn’s Peak and I was wishing for some better clothes that we breathable.

The tracing aspect is neat. Most companies/farms have to do this aspect but I like that Icebreaker makes it available to their customers.

I love marino. I had several sweaters in varying weights until I had a moth infestation then I had sever sweaters in varying weights with many holes. It’s soft, it’s light and it feels like heaven. I love the idea of a skirt – so comfortable and easy to move.

  7. Looks like you had an amazing time. Love companies that give back!

  8. They are such stylish clothes. They also look very comfortable to wear.
