How to Celebrate Every day in 5 Simple Ways

How to Celebrate Every day in 5 Simple Ways

Everybody is busy these days. No matter what your profession is, regardless of how many hours you work; whether you have a family or you live by yourself – each and every one of us feels pressured with time restraints.

With life being so hectic, the days, months and years feel like they are passing by too quickly, where we barely have time to decorate for Christmas when another holiday comes around. Life shouldn’t be like this however. We do not want to blink and find ourselves old and not knowing what we have really done with our lives.

This is why it is important to take a more conscious approach to the everyday. When you are more present in a moment, time feels like it is slowing down and so does your life. Regardless of how many priorities you have, you need to celebrate the every day to have a mindful and fertile mind. The following are five ways to help you do so.

Be in awe of the little things

Oftentimes, it feels like everyone in this world is trying to one up each other. We want to have the latest, the grandest and the best of everything, so no wonder we’re unsatisfied most of the time. Instead of this, be in awe of the little things around you. Appreciate every bone in your body, hold on to a smile from a stranger and never stop being amazed by the simplest things in your life.

Be grateful for what you have every day

Tying up nicely with the former point, being grateful for what you have today is essential to being conscious of this moment in your life. You may not be where you wish to be yet, but being mindful of this moment is the only way you can move forward.

Make someone else’s day beautiful

Rather than making life all about you – your goals, your problems, your priorities, you should make time every day to make it about someone else. Be kind to a complete stranger, share a smile or compliment someone just because and make this day worth living for someone else.

Go in search of beauty

I once read an article on Fast Company which said that going in search of beauty is a way to slow down time. You may not be able to do what you love as a job but you must make time every day to immerse yourself in beauty by doing something you love. Making time to do the things you are passionate about will bring meaning to your day.

Go outside

There are so many new things out there to help us lead a healthy lifestyle – apps, exercise videos, research studies about the right foods to eat and so much more but the one thing that is essential for a healthy life is often ignored. Going outside is underrated in our day and age but only when you go outside can you start to slow down, to wander and celebrate the day, however difficult it may be.

  1. Great philosophy. We all our guilty of getting caught up on what we want and how external factors inconvenience us, but if we take a step back at what we have and what we have you can realize life isn’t as bad as we sometimes make out.
