Join the Choose to be Nice Movement

It’s the golden rule… BE NICE! Is this something you teach your kids? To you also practice what you preach? How about making a commitment to spread the words to others? This is just what ChooseToBeNice.com is doing.

Choose To Be Nice is a long time coming! Dina Creiger, Founder, kicked around the crazy idea of encouraging and inspiring kindness for a couple of years. An unexpected tragedy, the Boston Marathon Bombings, compelled her to finally move forward. The mission of Choose To Be Nice is very simple.  We want to inspire, promote and encourage kindness whenever and wherever possible.

I was thrilled to try out a shirt to see what kinds of reactions I got around town. For the most part, I got the thumbs up or a “nice shirt” compliment. A few folks asked where they could get one and I told them about the Choose to be Nice movement. Other than actually wearing the shirt, I tried to be more mindful of situations where I could choose to respond in with kindness. I also told my children about the movement. My daughter said, “Mommy, I was extra nice to everyone today.” I told her to think about doing that every day.

What do you think? Want to make your own commitment to be nice?

Adsense is actually a really great program for those who
maintain blogs, as blogs get updated all the time and the Adsense possibilities are almost limitless.
But unfortunately not every request will get approved. What Googlebot is looking to see in the Free Local Google Advertising Listings
    is quite another.

  2. I love this!! I think everyone should wear this shirt. In this day and age with all the bullying and other nastiness going on, maybe this would make people just pause to think about what they are doing and saying.

  3. I think the wearing of the shirt just makes you more aware of being nice. It’s like wearing a cross can be a reminder to be more Christ like. Great idea. BTW…I know people who really need this shirt. hahahaha

Definitely something I need to work on in everyday life reactions to situations. My yoga practice is helping with that.

We take our extra produce to the food bank and share it around the neighborhood. The goats make everyone smile too.

  8. What a wonderful idea! I love this!

What a refreshing motto- I’ll have to check out their campaign and give them some support!

I also forgot to answer, I make bags of food (granola bars, sports drinks, ramen), and basic necessities (deodorant, toothbrushes, etc) and hand them out when I see an outstretched hand on the side of the road.
