Life is a roller coaster. We all have to deal with the ups and downs. That is what Comeback Momma is all about. We all have times in our lives when we have to make a comeback in some way. Over the past year, I have been plagued by injuries. I stopped working out and turned to comfort food to help sooth the physical pain. As a result, I’ve gained about 12 pounds. I am finally saying, “This is NOT ok with me anymore!”
So, I am making a comeback again. I’m going to take it slow and steady. Some of my injuries have come from attempting to go too hard too fast. So, I’m working on low impact with no weights until I feel strong enough to progress to the next level. I’m also cutting back on sugar and increasing my water intake. Jumping too quickly into an all or nothing diet approach doesn’t work for me either. Slow and steady is my new mantra.
Not sure who’s reading this post, but I wanted to put it out there. I am going to stop making excuses and start enjoying the ride even with all of it’s bumps, twists and turns. Feel free to share a comment of support. I’ll be sharing more about my plan for success as the months go along.
Thanks a lot for sharing, yes life is indeed a rollercoaster. I myself have been struggling with my unwanted weight all my life, even as a teen I was always a little on the chubby side. But as an adult woman things changed for worse as I gained all the more weight particularly after my first pregnancy. But in the past year I have lost almost 40 lbs, after a friend of mine shared a diet newsletter from a diet expert with me, therefore in an effort to give back here is a link to the free newsletter for women: http://bit.ly/1kxNYvM
