My New Morning Self Care Routine – Health from the Inside Out

We all have setbacks from time to time. Well, I’ve had a bit of a setback when it comes to my self-care routine. As with many busy moms, I put myself low on the priority list. As my teen daughter is starting to be more mindful of her personal care needs, I want to be a role model for her. Taking better care of myself shows her that self-care is important.

Yoga & Stretching

Before I leave my bedroom, I do some stretches or a few sun salutations to get my blood flowing. If I have time, I pull up a quick yoga routine on my laptop. It always gives me an energy boost to start my day.

Peaceful Cup of Tea

My morning cup of tea is something that I look forward to each day. Lately, I’ve been grabbing it on-the-go for the drive to school. I have returned to having my cup of tea before the kids wake up. I find a quiet place to really savor the peaceful moment.

Setting My Intention for the Day

I have a pretty little pad where I set an intention for my day. Sometimes I come up with something of my own and sometimes I find a good quote to use. I found this one the other day. Don’t you just love it?

    I am trying to nurture my mornings more too and these are nice suggestions. I also love ayurveda and those principles.

  10. I admit it I don’t take good care of my self other than exercise. I have been trying to eat well so I will try these healthy supplements and see if they help.

    I am trying real hard to start a healthy morning routine! Some days are easier than others! I need to try out those vitamins! I mean how could you go wrong with chocolate for breakfast 😉 !
