What is your nail fashion style? I tend to be pretty conservative when it comes to my nails. I either have naked nails, french manicures or perhaps a solid color from time to time. I am part of a Fashionista group of bloggers. I am often inspired by the new nail styles they try so I decided to get a little creative too. It happened to be my daughter’s birthday so I thought that would be a perfect time to go for a more dramatic style for the party. I went with the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails XTreme Wear in Rock Star Pink. I feel so naughty. My daughter and her friends loved it and I really did too.
What do you think? Have you been more adventurous with any of the new nail polish styles? I’m not sure that I am ready to try patterns or paintings on my nails, but I do like some of the new textures and sparkles. Here are a few of my fashionista friends’ nails that have inspired me.
I think I could pull off the far right look for day-to-day and the other looks for special occasions. I am loving the red look for the holidays. I am continuing to step out of my box for my “comeback.” How about you? Have some cool nail fashion to share? Let me know.
I love what you guys are usually up too. Such clever work and reporting!
Keep up the wonderful works guys I’ve added you guys to our blogroll.
I agree, I too lean toward the more natural look for my nails. I would like to step out of the box every once in awhile! I like the idea of the sparkles. I think I would like to do a nude/light pink with silver sparkly tips, sort of a nice balance between the natural but modern look!
I actually got a little adventuress, lol. I usually do a plain nail, or an American manicure but I bought a really cute mauve color polish, and tried it. I did not chip the polish either..
I am quite a late bloomer. I used to be conservative with my nail style but lately I am trying out different patterns as well. I still need to master them though…I will show my nails off when I “nail” a design :0
I love those sparkles! I wish I had more time to maintain a descent manicure lol
Love the sparkly Rock Star Pink! Just the name is awesome! I know my girls would love that! The fun and funky me – who I am hoping will come back when I lose this not so fun and funky baby weight – would LOVE to rock the crazy fun designs of jamberry nails. (Have you tried those?) But lately, I’ve felt conservative and my “go to” colors for my fingernails are clear or to just go naked. And when I do a pedicure I go to darks.. maroons or dark purples. It doesn’t shout out next to my dark skin. In June, my sister-in-law dared me to try a more summery color for my pedicure and i went with a light robin’s egg blue. I. LOVED. IT!!! It looked so good. Why hadn’t I tried that before? Might try a strawberry cake pink next time. π
I tend to choose from tips but I do love the purple glitter!
My daughter is the nail aficionado in our house. I can barely manage to keep mine from smudging or chipping and I lack any creativity or artistry. I love the bottom center look in your pictures though. I’ll have to see if my daughter can do it for me.
I love the black and red nails in the picture, but I could never do that! Now, on my toes? That’s another matter. π
I should start painting my nails more. These look great!
Sparkly! I have no nails so I haven’t worn nail polish in ages but if I did have nails I think you would have sold me with all that sparkle!
Oh how funky! I love all of these nail styles!
I do like color but I do like the french manicure tips. I’m just a simple kind of gal.
I’m not super creative with nails myself – I prefer solid colors (though I do some bright ones on occasion), but my girls are nail divas! Flowers, and different themes are their thing.
I love the glitter though, I may have to try that on my toes first to see how I like it.
I think this color would be perfect for a glitter ombre, since it seems to have a clear base? I love glitter polishes that can also add fun texture!
