Natural Remedies for Acne

Have you been dealing with acne? Unfortunately, even as an adult, I suffer from breakouts. If you are like me,  you have probably tried out several products, treatments and even medications that have promised to help cure acne. With the many ways that you have tried to cure your acne and majority of them not working or giving you unwanted side effects, you should probably start opting for natural remedies for acne.

If you think about it, during the early days of our ancestors, they did not have products, treatments and medications to help cure certain diseases. What they did is the old fashioned way and with the resources that they had available for them. Yes, they did it the NATURAL WAY. When we say “natural” we mean free of chemicals and resources that are found in nature. So if you have tried out several means of trying to cure acne and still nothing has worked, then you might want to try natural remedies in curing your acne problem.

Cucumber Juice

One of the popular natural treatments for acne is said to be cucumber juice. Cucumber juice has been used as a natural remedy all throughout the Asian and Middle Eastern countries to help calm and cool down the skin. This type of juice is quite beneficial when ingested since it contains large amounts of nutrients such as potassium and Vitamin A. If you are not too fond of the taste, you can try applying fresh slices of cucumber over acne to cure it and help soothe the skin. But if you do not mind trying out the juice then go ahead and make a cucumber juice to help treat your acne.

How to make cucumber juice?

The following are the steps in making cucumber juice:

  1. Peel the skin off of one cucumber (around 10 to 20 cm in length)
  2. Slice the cucumber into thin slices and place them in a pitcher
  3. Fill up the pitcher with cold water and let the mixture sit out for around one hour
  4. After one hour, pour yourself a glass of cucumber juice and enjoy

You could also get a cotton ball and dip it into the cucumber juice and apply it to the affected areas of your skin. You can get all of the cucumber benefits by just simply following these steps.

Other natural ways to help cure acne

If you want to try out other natural methods for your acne then you can try out the following:

Try mixing together paste of lemon juice, tomato juice, cucumber pulp and sandalwood to help even out your complexion and clear your skin from acne. Do this regularly on a day to day basis or as needed. You could also buy some sandalwood powder and create a paste to leave overnight for acne.

Aloe vera

Aloe vera can actually reduce the swelling and pain of acne. You could find aloe vera products or supplements in health stores or your local grocery stores to help in acne treatment. It has natural calming and soothing effects that could treat your blemishes.

Orange peels

You could either make orange juice or use its peels to help treat your acne. Since it has high amounts of vitamin C and has a natural acidity, it is one of the best treatments for acne. Have you tried natural remedies for acne? Share in a comment.
