Organic mattresses are something that you might not have heard of yet. However, in a world where every product is moving to organic options, it only makes sense that mattresses would also make a change in that direction. I’m excited to see them becoming a popular option because I’m a big believer in going organic whenever possible.

What Makes Organic Better
We always hear that organic alternatives to products are better, but why are they better?
No Chemicals
Well, to begin with, organic products are made using all-natural ingredients or don’t have chemical additives, hence the term “organic”. That means that whatever you buy, whether it be a mattress or some apples, organic products ensure that you aren’t consuming, inhaling, or applying chemicals in or on your body.
Environmentally and Bodily Friendly
Organic products are also environmentally friendly. They don’t give off toxic fumes into the air, the water, our skin, or our internal organs.
Many products made with chemicals can off-gas, which means that toxic chemicals leach out of the product and into the air we breathe. In addition, chemicals in beauty and skincare products are absorbed into our skin. If we aren’t careful, pesticides on our food can be ingested as well.
Organic products eliminate all of those factors.

Why Naturepedic Organic Mattresses are Winners
Organic mattresses are always a great choice because of the two points I listed above. If you’ve ever bought a memory foam mattress and noticed that odd odor, you know that they’re chemical-laden. The odor is literally the smell of chemicals entering the air in your home, filling up your sleeping space.
Although that initial odor will air out over time, the constant off-gassing continues daily. That’s not a good thing. An organic mattress is only made using natural fibers and other compounds, so there’s no constant toxic off-gassing to worry about.
Building an Organic Bedroom
I made a choice a long time ago to make the move toward a fully organic home. I buy organic produce, all-natural, organic beauty, and hygiene products, and forego the use of plastics whenever possible. Going organic is better for me, for the environment, and for my kids’ futures.
To that end, I’ve started building an organic and environmentally-friendly bedroom, as well. I’ve used all the ideas and knowledge I have from upgrading the other spaces in my home to more organic versions to create a bedroom that follows suit. It’s still a work in progress, but I have repurposed wood from an old armoire to serve as the headboard and refinished side tables that were my mom’s.

Organic Bedding
I purchased organic, sustainable bedding for my bed. I opted for organic cotton also from Naturepedic. It’s totally organic and sustainable material.
Naturepedic’s commitment to organic cotton contributes to healthier soils, decreased pesticide use, and other environmental benefits. Naturepedic exclusively uses organic cotton fiber and fabrics instead of conventionally processed cotton.
I also purchased organic pillows to ensure that I wouldn’t have chemicals leaching into the air around my head and that I wouldn’t be sleeping on something that required damage to the environment to produce.
Upgraded Lighting
While no lighting source is organic, there are more environmentally-friendly options. I upgraded all the bulbs in my lamps and overhead lighting to LED to reduce the energy consumption of the room. It’s better for the environment and for our wallet.
Organic Mattress from Naturepedic
I replaced our old, worn-out memory foam mattress with an organic mattress from Naturepedic to complete my organic room transformation. All of their mattresses are GOTS, GOLD, and GREENGUARD GOLD certified so I know that they’re 100% organic and safe for me and the planet.
These are absolutely vital certifications to look for when buying an organic mattress. After all, almost any company can slap the word “organic” onto something. These certifications ensure that the mattress you purchase is fully organic and safe just as it claims to be.

A Huge Difference
I got the EOS Classic Organic Mattress, and it has been a game-changer. To being with, Naturepedic helped me assemble my EOS, so I know exactly what is’ made of. In addition, they customized my mattress to my ideal comfort level. That’s important for me because I have chronic pain. I need to be super comfy when I sleep.
Sleep on this mattress is absolutely fantastic. It has 8-inch encased coils with edge support and a 3-inch comfort layer of organic latex on top for excellent support AND comfort. With the EOS Queen and King size beds, you can also choose the level of firmness on each side of the bed. I also love that the EOS is backed by a 20-year warranty, so I know it’s going to last a long, long time.

The way the mattress is constructed in different sections is also brilliant. Check out this video on Instagram of my husband and me putting together the bed. This way, you can replace a section if needed rather than the entire mattress. I decided to add an extra layer of comfort with the Adagio mattress topper. I provided 2? of smooth extra-soft organic latex wrapped in their signature stretch-knit fabric.
Now when I wake up, I don’t feel stiff and sore. I feel refreshed, and let me tell you, waking up without aches and pains is just amazing for me.I love my EOS Classic Organic Mattress from Naturepedic, and I think any of their mattresses would be a great fit for any family. Head over to the Naturepedic website and take a look at their line of organic mattresses. I’m sure you’ll find one that’s perfect for you.
Thank you for telling us about this. In fact, when I read your article, I was surprised that we already have similar mattresses. I would never even have thought to be honest. But I am glad that our world is gradually coming to its senses and is trying to fix everything that was done so easily and without hesitation before. Now it’s time to restore everything that we have destroyed and find an alternative to all the little things that seem irreplaceable. Now I, too, began to think about the fact that it is still worth replacing my usual mattress with a more environmentally friendly one.
Yes, mattresses is very important for our sleep and room decor.
