As a Fitfluential Ambassador, we are sometimes given free product in exchange for a review. I had seen a bunch of reviews for the Quest Protein Bars so I was dying to try them myself. I was thrilled to be selected for their next round of reviews.
I can honestly say that I am now a Quest Bar addict! They are truly AMAZING!! I have seriously never tried a protein bar that I have enjoyed more. I figured they would be a bit dry and perhaps a bit gritty like all the other bars out there, but they are tasty and smooth in texture. I have been eating one nearly everyday since receiving my box.
I received all 12 of their flavors to try along with their “Quest Cravings” peanut butter cups. Here is the list of flavors in no particular order:
- Peanut Butter and Jelly
- Banana Nut Muffin
- Apple Pie
- Peanut Butter Supreme
- Cinnamon Roll
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- Chocolate Brownie
- Chocolate Peanut Butter
- Vanilla Almond Crunch
- Strawberry Cheesecake
- Mixed Berry Bliss
- Coconut Cashew
I typically like chocolate flavors in these types of bars, but my favorites are actually Strawberry Cheesecake, Mixed Berry Bliss, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Coconut Cashew. I love that they make me feel full and satisfied.
A funny aside is that I was taking a walk with my daughter and for some reason I had not noticed the amount of fiber in the bars. There is an average of 17-19 grams. I thought, “holy cow, mommy is going to be gassy later.” Surprisingly, I was not at all. According to some other reviews, the inulin in the chicory root, which is quite good for you and is a prebiotic, causes gas in some people. But, the body can adapt over time. I am pleased to report no tummy upset for me and I have a rather sensitive system.
I love that the Quest bars are such an easy on-the-go snack. above is a shot of my bar at the Soccer Field. I swear, every time I taste a new bar, I feel the need to say out loud, “This is so good!” My husband took a bite of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and agreed.
The only negative feedback I have is that the peanut butter cups tasted a little dry to me. Other than that, I loved nearly every flavor. Why is Quest better than other bars on the market? Here is a good comparison graphic from the Quest website:
Here is the nutriton info from one of my favorite bars as well:
Most 12 bar boxes cost $25.99 online. I suppose that is a bit more expensive than some other bars on the market, but for the natural ingredients and the taste, I think they are totally worth it. Check out their website to order online or find a retailer near you.
Final Word: I say try them!
Disclaimer – I received a free box of Quest bars for review. All opinions expressed are my own.
