Signature Brands at Shaw’s Help You Shop Less & Save More

We all love to save, right? From rebates to online shopping tools and codes, we shoppers are all about getting the most for our money. At the Albertsons family of stores (I have a Shaw’s Supermarket in my area), you can save on groceries when you buy the Signature family of products.

Look for the labels – Signature Select, Signature Farms and Signature Cafe.

We all remember the days when buying housebrands meant getting something that was almost what we wanted but not quite. You remember – crackers that were slightly stale-tasting, soups that were a little “off”, spices that weren’t very spicy. Well, those days are over.

Grocery shopping is more affordable and just as filled with quality with the Shaw’s Signature line. This is a top-tier line of products without the top-tier price. Every single thing you buy from the Signature line has a great price AND a great taste, which is what we all want in our groceries.

I know because I buy the Signature line all the time. I have never once been disappointed with the quality, and I’ve never once had a complaint from anyone in the family – and I have picky kids!

The thing I love most about the Signature line is that it has pretty much everything my family wants and needs. This helps me shop less and save more on my groceries.

Even though I like to stay fit, I still enjoy the occasional treat, and my kids have big sweet tooths. So in addition to cooking ingredients, I’ll also pick up some tasty snacks fore the family, too.

Recently, I bought some Select Vanilla Bean ice cream and Select Fudge Stripe Shortbread cookies for the family. You guys, they are just as good, if not better, than the “famous brands”, and they are so much more affordable.

Let me tell you, when you start replacing your food items with the Signature equivalents, you save on groceries big time. And since it tastes so good, you don’t have to sacrifice any of the enjoyment you get from your food.

In addition to taking advantage of the Signature line of products at Albertsons and Shaw’s, you can also do a few other things to save, as well.

Look for Sales

This seems like a no-brainer, but I am constantly surprised at how many people don’t look for sales. Albertsons and Shaw’s routinely have great sales, so snag up their house brand while also looking for items on sale that you normally buy.

Use Those Coupons

We all know about coupon/saving apps on our phones, but don’t forget that printable coupons are still a thing, as well. There are sites out there that offer both printable and digital coupons, and they really add up over time.

Use Store Apps

In addition to coupon/saving apps, you can also take advantage of store apps. For example, Jewel-Osco, a member of the Albertsons family, has an in-house rewards app. Using that, you can save on all kinds of products as well as take advantage of freebies and deals made just for you.

Many of the stores in the Albertsons family have these apps, so be sure you check to see if your store has one that you’ve been missing out on.

Stretch Those Recipes

My final tip to save on groceries is to stretch those recipes. The first thing to do is buy products from the Signature line. They are much cheaper than the “big guy” brands.

Secondly, switch up ingredients. For example, you can use Signature Select Turkey Meatballs rather than beef. We love these over pasta with my homemade marinara sauce. My husband loves it in his lasagna. Speaking of, you can buy Signature Select Lasagna Meat too! Why not get some Signature Select Italian Bread as well. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

For snacks, do things like combine items to make things interesting without using too much of one thing. For example, I gave each of my kids some ice cream and pair it with a cookie and some trail mix. The kids got their sweet fix in, we kept it interesting, and I stretched those dollars just a bit.

The Signature Select Trail Mix snack bags are perfect for when we are on-the-go too. We always pack them for family hikes or camping trips.

Grocery Shopping That’s Tasty and Frugal

Between the great deals you’ll find at the Albertson’s family of stores, their Signature line of products, and the tips I just shared, you’ll save on groceries without sacrificing quality, and keeping the entire family happy. Head to your local Albertson’s family store and give their Signature brands a try today.

The Albertson’s family includes Albertsons, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Randalls, Safeway, Shaw’s, Star Market, Tom Thumb, and Vons.

I always look for discounts when grocery shopping, whether its coupons on the store app or paper/printed coupons there are always ways to save when grocery shopping. We don’t have a Shaws here but it seems very similar to our local Albertsons.
