Set the Mood with Glade® Wax Melts
Creating an energized and blissful environment is key to having a happy and healthy mom. What does a happy and healthy mom lead to? A happy and healthy family! It’s a win-win situation. Scents throughout the home create moods to inspire moms to be the best they can be. So, how can we create these lovely scents at home? I’m glad you asked. Try Glade® Wax Melts!
Glade® Wax Melts Warmers fill even your rooms with fragrance with a stylish, electric table-top warming dish. Available in a wide variety of scents, Glade® Wax Melt cubes deliver up to 96 hours of fragrance per pack. At 96 hours, that’s a big bang for your buck too! I’m all about a good bargain.
Did you know that scents can affect your mood? Close your eyes and think of a happy memory from your past. In addition to the sights of this memory, think about the smells. Perhaps it’s a tropical smell from a beach vacation or a woodsy smell from a hike. Breathe deeply and concentrate on that smell. Doesn’t it make that memory even more vivid? Doesn’t it lift your mood even further?
A smell can bring on a flood of memories, influence people’s moods and even affect work performance. The part of the brain associated with smell is so closely associated with memory and feeling it’s sometimes called the “emotional brain.” Smell can call up memories and powerful responses almost instantaneously.
Given all of my research on scents and mood, I could not wait to put Glade® Wax Melts to the test in my home. I headed over to my local Stop and Shop to purchase the Glade® Wax Melts Warmer and a few packages of the Glade® Wax Melts Cubes.
For my bedroom, I decided to try Hawaiian Breeze. My husband and I had our honeymoon in Hawaii so I wanted to bring back the feeling of that wonderful time. I love the memories of hiking through the lush forests to a waterfall surrounded by the scents of pineapple and plumeria. Ah, brings me back for sure. I almost forget that I am surrounded by snow outside. Citrus scents also energize so this scent is also great for my office.
After a hectic day, I want to release the stress and curl up in the living room armchair with a book in hand and a cup of tea. This relaxing mood is made even better with the Glade® Cashmere Woods scent. According to Glade’s website, this scent is a fan favorite and I can see why. In fact, this once seasonal scent became a year-round variety because it’s so popular. It reminds me of hikes in the pine woods and curling up by a warm fire. It is so soothing and comforting. With notes of sandalwood and vanilla, this is the perfect scent to inspire relaxation.
I also decided to try Glade® Clean Linen scent to add a fresh and clean smell to our bathroom. A smelly bathroom can really ruin my day. Making it smell linen fresh lifts my spirits and starts my day off right with a burst of energy as I step out of the shower. According to Glade®, Clean Linen is a “classic scent of line-dried laundry gets a modern twist of sunny citrus. The familiar feeling of clean comfort makes home feel even cozier.” I could not agree more. It reminds me of linens in the sun at my grandmothers house.
Glade® also just released a collection of new Spring Scents. With names like “Live Loud” and “Lift Off” they sound really fun. I can’t wait until my local Stop and Shop has them. There will be a Real Deal price at Stop & Shop of $3.00 between 2/21-3/27. With the long winter months in the Northeast, a scented “lift” sounds like just the ticket to brighten spirits and maybe give my kids a kick in the pants to get going on that homework.
The Glade® Wax Melts Warmer was easy to use. You simply remove one Glade® wax melt from the packaging and place in center of a clean and empty warmer bowl. The warming melts the wax, releasing fragrance into air. To remove the wax, allow it to cool completely and harden so you can pop it out. Easy!
