Shoe Trends for Spring/Summer 2015

Shoe Trends for Spring/Summer 2105

What woman doesn’t love shoes? My son and my husband think I have too many, but come on…. just a few more pairs couldn’t hurt, right? I love this time of year to investigate the hot new trends in shoes for the upcoming season. I’ll be heading to Florida next month so I need some inspiration for my post-pedicure feet. Here are some of my favorite highlights from the shoe trends I’m seeing around the internet. You can check out my Shoe Board on Pinterest for more inspiration too.

According to PopSugar

Designers emphasized wearability and ease, delivering flatforms and block heels, not to mention a selection of flats, dressed up with fringe and embellishment so you don’t even have to feel guilty about not wearing your heels.

Ankle Strap Flats

Classic flats never go out of style. Flats with ankle straps seem to be all the rage this season. So cute!

Graphic Prints

Shoes with a bold print or pattern are on all the runways as well. These are often created with a mix of fabrics.

Metallics

Perhaps a theme you have notices in all the collages above is that metallics have made a big return this year. Who doesn’t like some adding bling on their feet? I know I do!

Athletic Shoe Inspired

I’m seeing a lot of runway shots with models sporting cool shoes that take materials you’d often see in athletic shoes. They must be oh-so-comfortable!

My Personal Favorites

Out of all the shoes I’ve seen in my research, here are some of my absolute favorites. I probably would not wear the super high heels, but they are HOT!!

My favorite are the ankle flats. They look comfy and managable!

  3. Dede says:

I’ve never been a fan of flats with ankle straps because I feel like they make my short legs look even shorter. I need to see if that works better with heels. Love the metallic shoes, those tend to be my favorites!

  4. Holly S. says:

I love the move towards more interesting metallics than the basic silver and gold. I LOVE those strappy white heels that were in your favorites.

  5. Cinny says:

I’m a fan of the graphic prints! Though I’m not so sure about the thick flats.
