I LOVE smoothies. I mean who doesn’t, right? When I first heard about a smoothie bowl, I thought it was a bit strange. I mean, why put a smoothie in a bowl and eat it with a spoon? Now that I have tried a few. I LOVE them!
The smoothie bowl is an excellent way to add fresh fruits and other superfoods to your daily nutrition. They are a fun way to kick your breakfast up a notch. They are so tasty that I love to make at least a few each week. My smoothies typically contain fresh fruits, almond milk and sometimes a bit of protein powder or nut butter. For this smoothie, I added HumanN’s newest launch, SuperBeets Collagen.

What is SuperBeets Collagen?
Did you that Collagen is an essential protein that makes up over 70% of your skin and cartilage in your joints? It’s the primary component of our hair and nails too!
HumanN’s SuperBeets Collagen is formulated with the highest-grade, pasture-raised and grass-fed bovine collagen peptides. Basically – It’s good, natural stuff!
SuperBeets Collagen is also gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO and keto-friendly with no added sugar, artificial sweeteners or artificial flavors. The formula has 50 mg of Vitamin C, which is key for absorbing the collagen. After all, who wants wasted collagen? Not me!
Beets help support a healthy cardiovascular system. The beets that HumanN sources for their SuperBeets are also non-GMO raised in a nutrient rich environment.
Probably best of all, this product tastes great! The delicious Cherry Berry flavor is natural from cherries and cranberries. It’s perfect for adding to your water, smoothie or shake. So, I decided to try it in one of my smoothie bowl recipes.
Mixed Berry Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients:
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 3/4 cup of frozen mixed berries
- 1/2 tablespoon almond butter
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 scoop of HumanN’s SuperBeets Collagen
Directions:
- Blend together all of the ingredients
- Top with fresh berries, granola or shaved coconut
- Enjoy!
Did you know that you start losing collagen at age 30? According to the HumanN’s website, “The collagen in your body starts fading, affecting your ability and desire to run, to hike, to chase little ones around the house, and exercise.” Well, I’ve got years to come keeping up with my teens and hopefully grandkids someday (not too soon, of course). So, I’ll continue to use HumanN’s SuperBeets Collagen. I’ll report back on longer term results in a few months. In the meantime, enjoy your smoothie bowl!
