Snow Day Treats to Cure Cabin Fever

snow day treats

Thanks to Foodie.com for sponsoring this post.

Much of the country has been hit with a series os snow storms. Snow days can be fun, but can also contribute to cabin fever if the kids get stuck inside for too long. Here’s one of our tried and true snow day treats to beat cabin fever in our house. Below, I’ve made a collection of some other great ideas I found around the web too. Enjoy!

Snow Day Treats

Rainbow Apple Slices

  • Sliced apples – we used Macintosh
  • Some brand of Fruit O’s – sorted by color
  • Yogurt – vanilla or plain, depending on how sweet you want it to be
  • Fresh Fruit – use fresh fruit like raspberries as a side garnish

Slice an apple or two. Place slices on a plate. Add a layer of yogurt to each apple slice. Place Fruit O’s sorted by the colors of the rainbow on each slice. Garnish with fresh fruit. We used raspberries. This treat is so easy to make and quite delicious. The kids love making their own. Here is a fun collection I created on Foodie.com to give you more ideas.

What an adorable idea. Plus, it’s healthy too and a great way to put a rainbow in your day. 😉

  2. Cute and healthy snack! Very colorful, too.

I’m sure you’re going crazy with all of the snow you are having. It’s been rainy and warm here which is just wrong.
