FTC Disclosure

The folks at Candela asked me to take a look at their Spring and Summer fashions for this review. I’ve been having a blast shopping online through their website. The Candela styles are so on trend and feature little surprises you might not expect. Here are some of my favorite selections from Candela to go along with the Spring and Summer fashion trends of 2014.

Mesh & Lace

A variety of lace is making a big comeback this year. Personally, I think lace is always in style, but it is definitely a trend for spring and summer. I love the way Candela incorporates mesh and lace into their styles in such unique ways. Below are a few of my favorites. I especially love the detail in the cutout back of the sweater below. So pretty!

Crop Tops

This is a trend that is more accessible to all ages by wearing pants or a skirt with a high waist . Here is how Candela is showing this trend for Spring and Summer. I am in LOVE with the top in the middle with the ruffled sleeves. Now I just need a special occasion to wear it.

Beading and Embellishments

According to Vogue, “Embellishment still holds us in thrall.” I agree. The added detail on these pieces from Candela are to die for! The grey jacket looks plain from the front and has such an amazing element of surprise in the back. I love it!

Floral

Florals mixed with other patterns and textures are on trend as well. Candela has selected an eclectic mix of florals that fit many moods. This floral skirt has my name on it! Where’s my credit card? LOL!

Boho-Chic and Vintage

I think boho-chic and vintage never go out of style when you select them for the right occasion. Boho-chic is so great for beach days, brunches and backyard barbecues. Candela’s vintage styles are great for more formal gatherings like weddings and cocktail parties.

Born in Uruguay, Gabriela Perezutti Hearst grew up on her family’s ranch, surrounded by horses and cattle. After attending University in Uruguay, she moved to Europe to pursue modeling. From there she ventured to New York City, and founded the women’s fashion company Candela. Drawing inspiration from the nostalgia of her rural childhood on the ranch, and her love of nature and horses, Candela is the embodiment of Gabriela’s wistfully romantic past.

  1. Hi Jenn, Thank you for sharing this lovely Candela collection, the first dress is so beautiful. I really like the simple lines with the understated lace that gives a perfect touch! My eldest daughter would look superb in some of these choices!

  2. I really love the white peasant shirt. It’s casual and chic at the same time.

  3. I like the beaded dresses. I could see me wearing the gray one.

  4. Keri says:

  5. Raijean says:

Ok, I’m loving these dresses, going to see if they have a plus size option.

  6. That color blocked lace dress is amazing! I mean, really. That would be sure to get so many compliments if you wore that to a nice evening out.

  7. Ashley S says:

I absolutely love the lace look for summer! Perfect for those warm nights out.

  8. Now I feel like shopping – I love that black dress – so fun and perfect for summer.

  9. I did notice more lace and the eyelit skirts floating around. I love that trend. Okay, I am not a fan of crop tops or floral though. I know some people can pull those off, but not me. I end up looking like my shirt is too small… or I am wearing a tablecloth. Lol.

  10. Jenna Wood says:

I love the lace pieces, I wonder why I have not heard of Candela before? Is their collection exclusively sold online? I think I could really rock the Boho Chic styles with the beautiful vivid prints!

    • Jenn says:

I had not heard of them either. Aren’t they great? I can see you totally rocking some of these styles.
