Summer celebrates pudding every month with National Chocolate Pudding Day on June 26, National Tapioca Pudding Day on July 15 and National Rice Pudding Day on August 9. We were very excited to celebrate National Rice Pudding Day at my house! Our favorite is Kozy Shak® rice pudding!
We don’t have much time to celebrate summer before the back-to-school season gets started. What are you up to before summer winds down? My kids have been hanging out with grandpa. He watched them while my husband and I went away for a few days to celebrate our anniversary.
I gave my dad some fun ideas for creating snacks with Kozy Shack® rice pudding. If I don’t give him some ideas for healthy snacks, he’ll fill the kids up with nothing but ice cream and candy. Luckily, my kids love these rice pudding options too!
Pudding for breakfast?
Yes! A combination of rice pudding with raisins and granola provides calcium, protein and grains to help my kids start their busy summer days. Best for grandpa is that my kids can make these easy breakfasts themselves.
A great afternoon snack for grandpa and the kids is rice pudding with fresh berries. It’s such a great time of year to get berries at my local farmers market like strawberries and blueberries. They pair so well with the Kozy Shack® rice pudding. My kids always want seconds!
My dad is watching his weight, at only about 200 calories, I taught him how to make a dessert treat that is just as delicious and satisfying as a much higher calorie option. One of my favorite mix-ins are ginger snap cookies. The entire family loves this one!
